In its October 23, 2017 article on five trends for the cities of tomorrow, National Geographic discusses Nexiode and its WixLi solution.

ENERGY-EFFICIENT STREET LIGHTS

When it comes to street lighting, a small box with an antenna is set to become a staple in the cities of tomorrow. The device, which can be installed at the base or top of a lamppost, facilitates network maintenance while delivering significant savings. The equipment, sold for around €100 per unit (Nexiode), allows remote control and programming of the lighting. In addition to being able to easily adjust the configuration of a city's lighting, it is also possible to check the operating status of the bulbs without municipal workers having to travel to the site. In 2017, the town of Loches (population 7,260) saved €12,500 on its electricity bill, which amounts to €130,000 per year, by installing astronomical clocks that automatically adjust the lighting level at dawn and dusk.
